Ministry of Rural
Development has released Rs. 199.44 lakh for wastelands development
to the State Government of Orissa during 2003-04.
Rayagada district
gets Rs.94.89 lakh as third installment, Jajpur-Rs.48.03 lakh
as 5th installment and Deogarh district receives
Rs.56.52 lakh as second installment under Integrated Wastelands
Development Project (IWDP) .
The basic objective
of the Programme is aimed at integrated development of wastelands/degraded
lands based on village/micro watershed plans.
