AMENDMENTS TO THE PREVENTION OF FOOD ADULTERTION RULES –1955

NOTE
Government of India,
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Health has
issued a notification to amend certain provision of Prevention
of Food Adulteration Rules, 1955 which has been published in Part
II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i) of the Gazette of India Extraordinary,
vide GSR No.831 (E) dated 21.10.2003. The notification is available
on website of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare www.mohfw.nic.in.
These Amendments will come into force on 1st January
2004. By this amendment Government of India has proposed that
one time useable plastic bottles of mineral water and packaged
drinking water shall carry the following declaration namely:
