The Government
(Ministry of Railways) have not drafted any scheme to provide
telephones, Doordarshan or Television Channels in trains. However,
on few Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains, telephone services
have been provided either through Cellular Service Providers
or through Satellite phones.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru
Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Smt. Savita
Sharda in the Rajya Sabha today.
