RAJYA SABHA
Doubling of
Patna-Gaya section has been taken up on phases. Patna-Parsabazar
section has already been doubled. Doubling work is in progress
on Parsabazar-Punpun-Taregna-Jehanabad and Gaya-Chakand sections.
Doubling of Jehanabad-Bela section has been included in the
Budget 2003-2004 and would be taken up once the Budget is passed
by the Parliament.
No target date
has yet been fixed for completion of doubling of Patna-Gaya
section.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru
Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Shri Gaya Singh
in the Rajya Sabha today.
