Shri Kamal
Kishore Agarwal, a member of Indian Railway Traffic Service
(IRTS), took over as Member Traffic in the Railway Board and
ex-offcio Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry
of Railways here today. He succeeds Shri M.C. Srivastava who
retired on superannuation with effect from February 28, 2003.
Shri Suresh Chandra
Gupta, a member of Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineering
(IRSSE), has assumed charge as Member Electrical, Railway Board
and ex-officio Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry
of Railways. He succeeds Shri Arvind Sharma, who retired on
superannuation on February 28, 2003.

Kishore Agarwal was General Manager, Western Railway, Mumbai
and Shri Suresh Chandra Gupta, General Manager, East Central
Railway, Hajipur.
Shri K.K. Agarwal,
brings with him a comprehensive experience in operation and
marketing of rail services and with him at the helm, the rail
services to the nation is expected to look up and face challenges
of emerging globalisation and competition.
Shri Suresh Chandra
Gupta as Member Electrical brings with him a rich experience
of handling signaling, telecom and electrification of Indian
Railways and under his stewardship, railway electrification,
signalling, track circuiting and Anti-Collision Device are expected
to be accelerated to strengthen safety on Indian Railways.
