UNDS RELEASED TO HIMACHAL PRADESH UNDER SGRY AND WASTELANDS DEVELOPMENT
Ministry of Rural
Development has released 5.80 crore as the first installment of
central funds under Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana (SGRY-1 stream)
to 11 districts of the state government of Himachal Pradesh during
2003-2004.
The cash expenditure
on implementation of the programme is to be shared on 75:25 basis
between the Centre and the State respectively.
The State Government
should release the funds to the district alongwith the State share,
within a fortnight of the date of release of the Central assistance.
An amount of Rs.38.72
lakh has been released to Solan district for wastelands development
under Integrated Wastelands Development Programme (IWDP). The
basic objective of the Programme is developing wastelands/degraded
lands on watershed basis, keeping in view the capability of land,
site conditions and local needs.
