An electronic devise based on
Electronic Counter Measures has been developed by Defence Research
and Development Organisation which can temporarily mute the remotely
controlled improvised explosive device for protection of convoy
of vehicles.
After successful evaluation of
the device by the Army, it has been inducted into service. The
cost of each device is Rs. 30 lakh.
This information was given by
the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written reply
to Shri Adhir Chowdhury and others in Lok Sabha today.
