NEW OIL DISCOVERY IN RAJASTHAN
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation
Limited (ONGC) has recently struck oil in the new prospect, Chinnewala
Tibba, in Jaisalmer District. The well at the above prospect is
under testing. Based on the results of the testing of their well
and reassessment thereafter, ONGC plans to carry out 2D seismic
survey and consequential activities for further exploration.
The above information was
given by the Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas,
Shri Santosh Gangwar, today in the Rajya Sabha in a written reply.
