POVERTY RATIO DECREASES IN URBAN
AND RURAL AREAS
Planning Commission
in their latest estimates of the year 1999-2000 have indicated
a decrease in the poverty ratio in urban as well as rural areas
as compared to that of 1993-94. Details of percentage of population
below poverty line in 1993-94 and 1999-2000 are as under: -
