MEETING OF INTOSAI STANDING COMMITTEE ON IT AUDIT BEGINS
The 11th
Meeting of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions
(INTOSAI) Standing Committee on IT Audit begins in New Delhi today.
Forty nine delegates from Supreme Audit Institutions of 22 countries
are attending the three day meeting. The Standing Committee, to
be chaired by the Comptroller & Auditor General of India Shri
V.N. Kaul, will finalise the working plan of the Committee upto
the year 2005. Progress of on-going projects and taking up new
projects are also on the Agenda.
Supreme Audit Institutions
of 179 countries are members of INTOSAI, which is a forum for
sharing audit experiences and evolving best audit practices amongst
the Audit Institutions of member countries. INTOSAI has standing
committees discussing important issues like Accounting Standards,
Auditing Standards, Environmental Audit, Audit of privatisation
and IT Audit.
