UNSPENT FUNDS OF MPLADS

The annual entitlement of Rs. two crore per M..P. under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) is not subject to annuality of the budget. However, in a particular year, the unutilized budgetary allocations are liable to be surrendered, if the aggregate demand of funds from the districts as per the Scheme guidelines falls short of the budgeted amount. In that event, the budgetary allocations of subsequent years can correspondingly be increased.

The position of budgetary allocations and releases made during the last three years is as under:-
