ADDITIONAL SECRETARY LEVEL APPOINTMENTS


The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments:

  1. Smt. Komal Anand, IAS (HY: 68), presently Additional Secretary, Department of Culture as DG, CAPART in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary vice Shri J.S. Gill, IAS (PB: 68), by downgrading the post of DG, CAPART to the level of Additional Secretary.
  2. Smt. Gouri Chatterji, IAS (WB: 71), presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Department of Culture, vice Smt. Komal Anand, IAS (HY: 68), and revoking the earlier orders appointing Smt Gouri Chatterji as Managing Director, National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation (NAFED).
  3. Smt. Renuka Vishwanathan, IAS (KN: 71), presently in the cadre, as Member Secretary, Tariff Commission in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary vice Shri M.K. Bezbaruah, IAS (AGMU: 68).
  4. Shri M.S. Srinivasan, IAS (TN: 71), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas vice Shri Naresh K. Narad, IAS (MP: 68) by reverting the post of Special Secretary to its original level of Additional Secretary.
  5. Shri A. K. Mohapatra, IAS (HP: 71), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Shipping, and revoking the earlier orders appointing Shri Sudhir Mankad, IAS (GJ: 71) as Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Shipping.
  6. Shri M. Damodaran, IAS (MT: 71), presently on deputation as Chairman, UTI, to be upgraded in his present post to the rank of Additional Secretary. His pay will be regulated as per the rules.
  7. Shri S. Y. Quraishi, IAS (HY: 71), presently on deputation as Director General, Doordarshan, to be upgraded in his present post to the rank of Additional Secretary. His pay will be regulated as per the rules.
  8. Shri J. S. Sarma, IAS (AP: 71), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development, as Additional Secretary, Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare vice Shri R. K. Chandra, IC&CES (67).
