TAKES OVER AS PIO
Shri Sahab Singh, took over the charge
as Principal Information Officer to the Government of India, here
today on the superannuation of Smt. N. J. Krishna who retired
as PIO, yesterday after 37 years of Government service. A 1966
batch officer of the Indian Information Service, Shri Sahab Singh
was holding the post of Senior Additional Principal Information
Officer. He also holds the additional charge of the Director General,
Field Publicity.
Shri Sahab Singh held several senior positions
in different media units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting,
including the Director General, DAVP, Director General, DFP, Additional
Director General (News), Doordarshan, Additional Director General
(News), All India Radio and Chief Administrative Officer, Ministry
of Defence. He has completed several professional courses including
the prestigious National Defence College Course.
