HELD AT PATTAYA, THAILAND
The
first list of allocations for the Central Quota for the All India
Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE)
– 2002 has been announced by the Central Counseling Board (CCB),
Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Counseling for these
allocations was held from 5th to 7th July,
2002 at 18 centres located across the country. 1,04,233 candidates
were considered eligible for counseling for allocation of about
7,100 seats in 102 Technical Institutes including 11 Deemed Universities
in Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture. 33,386 Option Forms
were received from the candidates seeking admission. 7109 seats
have been allocated from the 7116 seats available. The results
of seat allotment can be accessed at the websites: www.aieee.nic.in
, ccb.nic.in and cbse.nic.in.
The seat
allotment letters are being dispatched to the selected candidates
by post. These candidates are required to report to the respective
institutes along with the allotment letters and all other documents
required for admission from 22nd to 28th
July, 2002. In case, the allotment letters are not received on
time due to postal delay, provisional allotment letters may be
printed (downloaded) from the Internet and used for admission.
The second
list of allotment against vacant seats will be announced on 6th
August, 2002 and second round of admissions is scheduled during
10th to 14th august, 2002. If there are
still some vacant seats, the institutes will admit candidates
with AIEEE-2002 ranks against the vacant seats in accordance with
their admission procedure.
