Initially the utilisation of funds under
Central Road Fund was slow. However, the matter has been pursued
at various levels including at the level of Chief Ministers for
expeditious progress and utilisation of funds. With this the overall
position of utilisation has shown improvement.
This information was given by the Minister of
State (Independent Charge) for Road Transport and Highways, Major
General (Retd.) B.C. Khanduri in reply to a question of Prof.
Ummareddy Venkateshwarlu in Lok Sabha today.
