DEVELOPMENT OF AIIMS BY HUDCO

HUDCO has designed the Development Plan – 2025 of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and has submitted it to the authorities of AIIMS. It proposes to re-densification of all the three campuses keeping in view the increased ground coverage of 35% with 46% of the total area left as open space. While the staff quarters would be increased from 968 to 2390,hostel beds will go up from 1424 to 4529. Various land uses have been grouped in different Landuse Zones, Such as Institutional Zone, Hostel Zone, Residential Zone, Services and Utilities Zone, Residential Zone, Services Zone, Services and Utilities Zone etc. A multi-facilities Conferences and Seminar Complex and a fully equipped Guest House of approximately 40 beds accommodation has been planned. Approximately 4000 sq. meter of ground coverage has been left for any additional future requirement. Implementation will depend on due clearances and availability of funds.

Shri O. Rajagopal, Minister of State for Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation, gave this information in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
