MAHARASHTRA GETS FUNDS FOR RURAL
SANITATION
Ministry of Rural
Development has released Rs 256.59 lakh to Maharashtra under Total
Sanitation Campaign. An amount of Rs.118.13 and 138.46 lakh has
been released towards the first installment to Osmanabad and Buldana
Districts under Total Sanitation Campaign of the Central Rural
Sanitation Programme.
Ministry has released
50,000 MTs. of foodgrains (Rice) to the State Government of Maharashtra
under the Special Component of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana
(SGRY) during 2003-2004. The foodgrains would be utilised for
completion of relief works already started in the drought affected
districts of the State. These districts are : Ahmednagar, Aurangabad,
Beed, Latur, Nashik, Osmanabad, Pune, Sangli, Satara and Solapur.
