NEW WATERSHED PROJECTS FOR HARYANA & HIMACHAL PRADESH

Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned new watershed projects under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme "Desert Development Programme" (DDP) to Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Ministry has released Rs. 35.40 crore for planning and development of 118 new watershed projects for implementation of Desert Development Programme (DDP) in 44 blocks of 7 districts of Haryana. These districts are Bhivani, Hissar, Fatehabad, Jhajjar, Mohindergarh, Rewari, Sirsa.

Ministry has released Rs.11.40 crore for development of 38 new watershed projects in 3 blocks of Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh. The project cost shall be shared by the Central and State Government in the ratio of 75 : 25.
