TRAINS WITH LIFE SAVING DEVICES

The Railways have provided augmented First Aid Boxes containing additional First Aid items like medicines and equipment in nominated trains over and above the First Aid Boxes already with guards of all Mail, Express and Passenger trains.

The frontline staff, such as, guards, Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs) and Conductors are a trained force to render First Aid to needy passengers in running trains. Besides, passengers, who are taken ill suddenly, can requisition medical help from Railways Doctors enroute, who render medicare at prescribed nominal charges.

In addition, Doctors travelling and willing to render professional medical assistance are given 10 per cent concession on printed fare for their journeys.

First Aid medicare in trains is intended to ensure that railways are responsive to its users.
