The President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, has sent his greetings to fellow countrymen on the occasion of Idul Fitr, which falls tomorrow. (Subject to the sighting of the moon today.)

In a message, the President has said, "Every Idul Fitr is indeed a milestone in human life as the Day is the culmination of 30 days of prayers and fasting, leading to the sharing of one’s earnings and happiness with the needy, with gratitude.

Let the Idul Fitr Festival make human beings work for happiness and brotherhood.

I send my greetings to all our people in India and abroad, on this auspicious occasion."
