ENVOYS PRESENT CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT
Nine envoys presented
their credentials to the President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul
Kalam at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan here today.
The envoys who presented
their credentials were:- Her Excellency Mrs. Lucie Edwards, the
High Commissioner of Canada, His Excellency Mr. Eric Franciscus
Charles Niehe, the Ambassador of the Netherlands, His Excellency
Mr. Michael Arthur CMG, the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom,
Her Excellency Mrs. Laura Q. del Rosario, the Ambassador of the
Philippines, His Excellency Mr. Juan Carretero Ibanez, the Ambassador
of Cuba, His Excellency Mr. Dragovest Goranov, Ambassador of Bulgaria,
His Excellency Mr. Francisco da Camara Gomes, Ambassador and Head
of the European Commission, His Excellency Mr. Viktor Karafil
Kalemi, the non-resident Ambassador of Albania and His Excellency
Mr. Jose Leopoldo Francisco Riestra Elizondo, Ambassador of Nicaragua.
The credential
presentation ceremony was attended by the senior members of the
missions, senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs
and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
