RAJASTHAN ELECTIONS - JAIPUR HAS MAXIMUM
NUMBER OF CONTESTANTS
In Rajasthan total 1541 contestants
have left in the fray for 200 constituencies after last date of
withdrawal of nominations for Assembly Elections-2003. Jaipur
District has maximum -145 contestants for 15 constituencies. While
Jaisalmer has minimum - 8 contestants. Alwar - 26 contestants
for 11 constituencies, Ajmer - 68, Banswara - 24, Bara - 14, Barmer
- 35, Bharatpur - 98, Bhilwara - 41, Bikaner - 34, Bundi - 22
and Chittorgarh - 49 contestants for 7 constituencies.
In the State total number
of electorates is 33913887. Total number of polling station in
the State will be 35869. Jaipur has maximum number of electorates
i.e. 3090982. While Jaisalmer District has minimum number of electorates
– 219175. Polling will be held on 1st December, 2003.
