NO EXPORT OF COW MEAT BY RAILWAYS

Meat is not transported
by Railway trains. However, refrigerated containers owned by Shipping
Lines are delivered to Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR)
for transport on Tughlakabad-Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JMPT)
route. As per the details to ONCOR through shipping bills filed
by the consignors, frozen buffalo meat has been carried in these
containers.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya
in a written reply to a question from Shri B.P. Singhal in the
Rajya Sabha today.
