ADVANI CALLS FOR IMPROVING AND ENRICHING ONES OWN LANGUAGE

The Deputy Prime Minister, Shri L.K. Advani today called upon the people to develop love and affection to ones own language. He said there is nothing wrong in learning or praising English or any other foreign language, but the efforts should be to enrich and help prosper our own language through which we generally communicate to our people. Shri Advani was inaugurating the two-day Joint Regional Rajbhasha Sammelan at Vigyan Bhawan, here. He said ours is a multi-lingual society and every language of the Region is rich in its own field. Therefore, further efforts should be made to help prosper these languages. Referring to Hindi, the official language he said we should develop love and special liking for this language which has proved itself to function as a threat to bind the entire nation.

Shri Advani gave away shields and certificates of merit to various organizations of the Southern, Western and Central Regions of the country. He called upon the awardees to keep it up and involve more and more people in their stride to popularize Hindi.
