PRESIDENT, PM GREET THE NATION ON HOLI
The President, Dr. APJ Abdul
Kalam and the Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has greeted
the countrymen on the festive occasion of Holi.
The President in his message
said, "As spring arrives, this festival of colour brings with
it joy, hope and fulfilment for all. Holi also signifies how our
minds can be prevailed upon to generate happiness. As we celebrate
the joy of the coming of spring and the blossoming of flowers,
let us transmit smiles into action to people who need happiness
and the aged. Each one of us should come forward to lessen their
pain so that they can also share the happiness of this colourful
and purposeful festival."
Shri Vajpayee, in his message,
said, "The festival of colours symbolises mankind’s spirit of
creativity, amity and togetherness in harmony with Mother Nature.
Let the spirit of Holi continue to add colour to our lives and
inspire us to shed our differences and work together so as to
multiply prosperity and happiness in the lives of all".
