Of the above, about
5000 patients were given medicines which had been collected from
various sources without incurring of any cost by ESIC. 339 patients
had their ECGs done while 426 of them had blood tested in the
field Laboratory set up there. The mobile Dental unit examined/treated
the teeth of 533 visitors. A large number of beneficiaries viz.
1265 persons had their eyes examined. All these services were
provided free of cost to both the Insured Persons and the general
public.
The Corporation
incurred some expenditure on account of putting up of pandals
(The Indian Army had provided 15 expandable tents free of costs)
and publicity but these were rather modest.
