WORK UNDER MPLADS IN MADHYA PRADESH
RAJYA SABHA
As per information
received from district authorities upto 28.2.2003, a total of
41,454 works at an estimated cost of Rs. 52,959 lakh have been
sanctioned under MPLADS in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
Percentage utilization
of MPLADS funds in the State of Madhya Pradesh in the last three
years is given below:

The funds have been
utilized on various projects taken up under the Scheme. The details
of the types of projects taken up are available in the districts.
Three complaints
about misuse of MPLAD funds were received from Members of Parliament
from the State of Madhya Pradesh. As and when such complaints
are received, these are referred to the State Governments/Heads
of the Districts concerned for appropriate action.
This information
was given by Shri S.B.Mookherjee, Minister of State for Statistics
and Programme Implementation in a written reply to a question
by Shri P.K.Maheshwari in Rajya Sabha today.
