The Ministry
of Rural Development has released Rs.60.35 crore as centre’s
share under Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) for rural housing to twenty
two districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The expenditure
on the implementation of the rural housing programme is to be
shared on 75:25 basis between the Centre and the State respectively.
The grants are towards the Plan expenditure and will be utilized
for approved items of works subject to the conditions laid down
in the guidelines under Indira Awaas Yojana. The concerned State
Governments should release their share within one month of the
date of release of the Central Assistance.
