ALLOCATION OF FOODGRAINS TO ORISSA UNDER SPECIAL COMPONENT OF SGRY

Ministry of Rural Development has released 1.11 lakh MTs of foodgrains (rice) to the state Government of Orissa under the special component of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) for creation of additional wage employment in the 30 drought affected districts of the State.

Under the special component of SGRY, only foodgrains are provided free of cost to the State Governments to take up employment-oriented works. Cash component of the scheme is provided by the State Government either from the State Sector scheme or Centrally Sponsored Scheme.
