LAO VICE MINISTER CALLS ON LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT SECRETARY
The Vice Minister of
Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Mr. Phongsavath
Boupha called on Dr. Subhash C. Jain, Secretary, Legislative Department,
Ministry of Law and Justice here today. Problems relating to implementation
of international and bilateral treaties in domestic law in India
figured during the discussion. Dr. Jain explained the position
prevailing in India and indicated the methodologies employed in
implementing such treaties and conventions in domestic legislation.
Senior officials from both sides were present during the meeting.
