ROAD OVER BRIDGE NEAR DURGAPUR RAILWAY STATION

The Road Over Bridge (ROB) in lieu of Level Crossing No. 113 near Durgapur, which was sanctioned in 2000-2001, is estimated to cost Rs. 791.44 lakhs with Railways’ share as Rs.286.71 lakh and State Government’s as Rs. 504.73 lakh.

The Railways have provided Rs. 10 lakh for this ROB during the current financial year 2003-2004. The State Government is yet to communicate its consent for cost sharing of this work.

Road Over or Under Bridge is constructed jointly by Railways and State Government. The Railways construct Bridge over the track and approaches are built by State Government. Efforts are made by Railways to complete its portion before or along with approaches by State Government.
