EXPORT PERFORMANCE OF RAIL
COACHES
The Integral Coach
Factory (ICF), Chennai, a production unit of Indian Railways,
has exported 359 bogies and 425 coaches so far. The export of
ICF built bogies and coaches commenced in 1967-68.
The countries, which
have imported these bogies and coaches, are Thailand, Myanmar,
Taiwan, Zambia, Philippines, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Mozambique
and Bangladesh.
ICF earned a sum
of Rs.6578.95 lakhs from these exports. It also included spares
for the bogies and coaches at a cost of Rs.313.30 lakhs.
