HELP FROM AIR BATALLION FORCE DURING
ACCIDENT RELIEF

It is proposed to
have a professionally trained Crack Team of Rail Rescue Experts
who can be rushed to any site of accident by air/land route at
short notice. This group will continuously be exposed to the latest
rescue, extrication techniques and medical relief and will support
the accident rescue and relief arrangements. Besides, assistance
is sought and obtained from Armed Forces to tackle post accident
operations whenever need arises.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya
in a written reply to a question from Shri Ramesh Chennithala
in the Lok Sabha today.
