MOU WITH DEFENCE MINISTRY
LOK SABHA
The High Level Committee’s
Report on Disaster Management has recommended to sign an MOU with
the Ministry of Defence in order to provide logistic support for
rescue/relief to the victims of rail accidents. The Ministry of
Defence has been requested to nominate an Officer to work out
modalities in this regard.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya
in a written reply to a question from Dr. V. Saroja in the Lok
Sabha today.
