EXPORT
OF MISSILES

Bharat Dynamics Limited,
Hyderabad, a Public Sector Undertaking under the: Ministry of
Defence, has been exploring the possibility of exporting missiles.
All such requests for export are dealt with on a case-to-case
basis and are subject to clearances from the Ministry of Defence.
While considering an export order for Missiles, the Ministry takes
into account: (i) The requirement of the Armed Forces; (ii) End
user Certificate, (iii) Licensing and contractual obligations,
(iv) The country of destination, so as to ensure that such export
is in national interest and that it would not be used against
India
This
information was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes
in a written reply to Smt Shyama Singh and others in Lok Sabha
today.
