The situation on the Line of Control remains unchanged. During the year 2001-2003 (till 22.7.2003) 947 terrorists have been killed at the time of their attempts to infiltrate/exfiltrate.

Intelligence inputs indicate that approximately 3000 terrorists are being trained in training caps in Pak occupied Kashmir.

Adequate military measures have been put in place to thwart Pak designs and intercept terrorists groups attempting to infiltrate into J&K.

This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written reply to Shri K Rama Mohanna Rao in Rajya Sabha today.
