SHRI PRASAD CONDOLES THE DEATH OF JOHNY WALKER


The Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad has condoled the death of veteran film comedian Johny Walker, who passed away in Mumbai today.

In a condolence message, Shri Prasad said that unlike the artificial and slapstick comedy that is so much in vogue nowadays, Johny Walker endeared himself to the public with genuine wit.

Shri Prasad said that he was a trendsetter, whose performances made him indispensable for the success of a film during the Golden Era of the Indian film industry. The Minister said that Johny Walker’s comedy would be remembered for long both in the film industry as well as in cinema buffs.
