FUNDS AND FOODGRAINS RELEASED TO
ANDHRA PRADESH UNDER SGRY
Ministry of Rural
Development has released Rs. 65.67 crore to 22 districts of Andhra
Pradesh as first installment under Sampoorna Grameen Rojgar Yojana
(SGRY-1).
The cash expenditure
on implementation of the programme is to be shared on 75.25 basis
between the Centtre and the State respectively.
The State Government
should release to the district the State Cash share, within a
fortnight of the date of release of the Central assistance.
Ministry has approved
the release of 88575 Metric tonnes of common Rice as first installment
of foodgrains to 22 Districts of the State. The State Government
is entitled to lift the foodgrains from July, 2003 to 31st
March, 2004. The transportation cost for lifting the foodgrains
will be borne by the State Government concerned.
