WITHDRAWAL OF JAN SHATABDI TRAINS

Train No. 2071/2072 Tata-Ranchi Jan Shatabdi Express has been replaced by MEMU service from February 10, 2003, and 2081/2082 Ahmedabad-Bhuj Jan Shatabdi Express short terminated at Gandhidham from July 1, 2003 due to poor patronage. Further, due to operational problem on Konkan Railway, 2051/2052 Lokmanya Tilak (Terminus) – Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express has been temporarily cancelled for a period of one month and 15 days from July 2, 2003.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Shri Naresh Puglia in the Lok Sabha today.
