POWER GENERATION CAPACITY OF NTPC
The present power
generating capacity of NTPC is 21,249 MW (including 314 MW owned
by NTPC and SAIL Joint Ventrue Companies).
NTPC envisages to
become a 40,000 MW plus Company by the year 2012 by doubling its
capacity by adding a power generation capacity of about 20,000
MW during Tenth and Eleventh Plans.
This information
was given by Smt. Jayawanti Mehta, Minister of State for Power
in a written reply to a question by Shri V. Vetriselvan and Shri
Ramdas Rupala Gavit in Lok Sabha today.
