MODERNISATION OF ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION SCHEME IN JODHPUR

Central Government had earlier approved the 56 crore project for the modernisation of electricity distribution scheme of Jodhpur city. During the year 2002-03, the Government has sanctioned a project for strengthening and upgradation of sub-transmission and distribution in Jodhpur city at a projected cost of Rs.55.60 crore under Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (APDRP). Upto 31.3.2003, an expenditure of Rs.15.00 crore has been incurred under the above programme.

This information was given by Smt. Jayawanti Mehta, Minister of State for Power in a written reply to a question by Shri Aimaduddin Ahmad Khan (Durru) in Rajya Sabha today.
