EMPLOYEES IN THE MINISTRY OF MINES
LOK SABHA
The total number
of employees working in various grades in Ministry of Mines, its
subordinate offices and its public sector undertakings as on December
31, 2002 was 29,805. Out of this 5317 belong to schedule caste,
3217 to schedule tribe, 2377 to other backward classes. Out of
total 10,911 SC, ST and OBC people, 1012 belong to Group A, 1493
to Group B, 6229 to Group C and 2177 to Group D.
This information
was given by the Minister for Mines Shri Ramesh Bais in a written
reply in the Lok Sabha today.
