ENCROACHMENT ON DDA LAND

The Delhi Development Authority has acquired 4271.83 acres of land during the last three years in various places around Delhi. This includes 1478 acres in Rohini, 122 acres in Madanpur Khadar, 151 acres in Dhirpur, 1507 acres in Dwarka, 92 acres in Jasola, 532 acres in Narela and 389.83 acres in other areas.

There has been no encroachment on these lands except in small portions of land in Rohini and Narela, the possession of which has not been taken over. Similarly 345 acres of land in Anand Parbat, Basai Dharapur and Masoodpur etc. has not been taken over, as it is under litigation.

So far 4000 plots have been allotted under Rohini Residential Scheme, 1981. In Madanpur Khadar, 10061 plots have been developed and allotted to the families shifted from different locations of Delhi.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation, Shri Pon. Radhakrishnan in his written reply to a question by Shri Haribhai Chaudhary and Dr. M.P. Jaiswal in Lok Sabha today.
