DCI&S CLOSURE
The
Government has closed the office of the Development Commissioner
for Iron and Steel (DCI&S) and declared staff as surplus in
pursuance of the recommendations of the Expenditure Reforms Commission
(ERC) constituted by the Government. Due process is being followed
in terms of detailed instructions issued by the Division for Retraining
and Redeployment of the Department of Personnel & Training
for subsequent redeployment.
This
information was given by the Minister for Steel Shri Braja Kishore
Tripathy in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
