SHRI PRASAD CONDOLES THE DEATH OF
LEELA CHITNIS
The Minister of Information
& Broadcasting, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad has condoled the
death of renowned film actress Leela Chitnis, who passed away
at Danbury, USA. In his condolence message, Shri Prasad said that
Leela Chitnis was a pioneer of early Indian cinema who through
her films served the cause of women’s equality. Her contribution
to the growth of Indian cinema will be remembered for long, he
said.
