SANGHPRIYA GAUTAM TO PERSONALLY MONITOR RURAL EMPLOYMENT SCHEME


Sanghpriya Gautam, newly appointed Minister of State for Agro and Rural Industries, has said that he would personally visit the villages to monitor progress of Pradhan Mantri Grmin Rozgar Yozana and would prepare action plan for its effective and speedy implementation. After assuming the charge of his office today he said village and Agro Industries could be the backbone of our economy as still large number of people depend on the sector for their livelihood. He regretted that in spite of Government’s thrust and priority expected results have not been achieved. He added that attitude of the banks has to be changed for easy sanctioning of loans and middleman is to be abolished to promote rural industries. The Minister also had detailed discussions with the senior officials of the Ministry.

Sanghpriya Gautam, a law graduate Rajya Sabha Member from Uttaranchal, is champion of farmers and dalits. He has privilege of working with Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
