JAHRKHAND GETS RS. 8.31 CRORE AND FOODGRAINS UNDER SGRY

The Ministry of Rural Development has released Rs. 831.24 lakh as second instalment to three districts of Jharkhand under Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) for the year 2002-03.

The Ministry has also released 5.41 thousand tonnes of rice and 2.56 thousand tonnes of wheat to three districts of Jharkhand.

The Ministry has already released first instalment of funds Rs. 866.29 lakh against allocated Rs. 1742.77 lakh to the State.

The expenditure and implementation of the programme with regard to cash component is to be shared on 75:25 basis between the Centre and the State Government. The DRDAs all Zilla Parishads will release the entire funds allocated to them directly to the village panchayats within 15 days of receipt of funds.
