SMT. SUSHMA SWARAJ AIMS TO PROVIDE BASIC HEALTH SERVICES AT A FAIR PRICE

Smt. Sushma Swaraj took over as the Minister of Health & Family Welfare here today. In a brief interaction with the media personnel, after assuming charge of her office, Smt. Sushma Swaraj said she will strive to provide basic health services at a fair price to the common man. She said the Ministry of Health directly concerns people and a common man expects that the Government will provide basic health facilities to him. Outlining education and health as priority areas for upliftment of the people, she said a nation of unhealthy people cannot become strong and secure. She said our motto should be "Surakshit Rashtra, Swastha Rashtra". Smt. Sushma Swaraj hoped that she would be able to provide direction and leadership to accomplish this objective.

The Minister had detailed interaction with senior officials of the Ministry.
