SENIOR LEVEL APPOINTMENTS

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: -

1. Smt. Sunila Basant, IAS (JH:70), presently Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, as Member Secretary, National Commission for Women, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
2. Shri Devdas Chhotray, IAS (BH:71), presently on study leave from the Centre, as Adviser Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
3. Shri Champak Chatterji, IAS (WB:71), presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances vice Smt. Sunila Basant, IAS (JH:70).
4. Smt. Deepa Jain Singh, IAS (HY:71), presently in the cadre, as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, from 1.2.2003 vice Smt. Aruna Makhan, ICAS (67).
5. Shri V. Subramanian, IAS (WB:71), presently Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Civil Aviation, as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the same Ministry by upgrading the post of personal basis from 1.2.2003 till further orders.
6. Shri R. B. Budhiraja, IAS (MH:68), presently in the Cadre, as Chairman, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
