The Maganese Ore (India) Limited
(MOIL), a public sector undertaking of the Steel Ministry has
earned a profit before tax of Rs. 18.41 crore during April-December,
2002 which is nearly ten per cent more than the target of Rs.
16.78 crore. It earned a profit before tax of Rs. 18.34 crore
during the same period last year.
During these nine
months, the profit after tax of the company Rs. 11.73 crore and
total sales of Rs.123.5 crore have crossed target by 9 per cent.
The gross margin of Rs. 23.36 crore during this period was 4.3
per cent higher than the target and 1.8 per cent higher than gross
margin of the same period last year. The company produces manganese
ore, electrolytic manganese dioxide and ferro manganese.
